Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA) fun times!!

After still recovering from an incredible 5 days in Melbourne, attending the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA) I write this post still happy, and still smiling from ear to ear.

It’s a nerve-wracking experience us photographers put ourselves through, being judged against Australia’s finest and what incredible work came out this weekend, insane actually. The bar is set higher and higher every single year.

I’m so pleased to share my images that scored me well in the Wedding Open category this year. Scoring a Gold and 3 Silver Distinction’s, I was awarded r/up Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year. Alongside this I was excited to collect enough points to receive my Master of Photography honors with the AIPP as well.

Thank You goes to so many people that helped put this together, I could not have done this alone and to my incredible couples for your fun and energy in participation!!!

  1. There are people who come into your life for a reason. Not by chance, or accident, but by fate. I was meant to meet you all of those many, many years ago. It was fate we both were able to quote Friends by heart. I was meant to befriend you, not knowing at the time how much brilliance you had inside of you. I was meant to watch you grow, evolve, and support you. You were meant for amazing things, for this exact purpose. You were meant to do this and you deserve all of the amazing beauty that is still yet to come. I am so giddy with your future Kelly Tunney. x

  2. I can’t believe I get to be friends with Kelly Tunney! You are so incredibly talented and wonderful. These images are out of this world amazing! xoxo

  3. Amazing! How the heck did you do that shot with all the brides?!? Such a well deserved accolade, can’t wait to see a girl (you!) take out the winners spot next year! x
