It has been awhile coming but at long last we have Justine and Chris that flew all the way over from London to get hitched in beautiful, sunny Fiji late last year!!
So my good friend buddy pal Dan O’Day made the trek over with me to help me shoot and hold my hand on the scary flight – okay, well it wasn’t so bad after a few short drinks and a 30 second sleep. But we got there eventually and arrived at the luxurious Sheraton Hotel on Denarau Island 2 nights before the wedding. We meet Justine and Chris for the first time in the foyer and it was hugs and kisses all around, we had finally got there!! I must say, Dan and I were treated as family from the moment we arrived and the moment we left. We were included in everything, including a night out before the wedding at a traditional Fijian restaurant – where we shared more drinks and aeroguard with the family (mossie’s are brutal over there)!!
The wedding day was gorgeous, it was hot as expected. Dan and I did the formal shoot before the ceremony which worked out well with weather (and the heat). As the day moved on and the night cooled cooled off, guests started to let their hair down and enjoy the tropical surroundings – including us! The food was out of the world, we had front row seats to the bridal table, everything was perfect. Speeches were emotional, inspiring and good fun.
What else can I say, other than THANK-YOU for inviting us over, for sharing and for being super wonderful people.
So this little fella below rates a special mention cause he’s Dan O’Day and he is my buddy and a killer photographer that shared the fun Fiji ride with me. We’re a special bunch as you can see by our creative shots of each other! It was a great experience to shoot in Fiji with him (a first shooting together) I don’t think we yelled at each other,,,, perhaps a couple of “get the hell out of my shot” comments but other than that we were all good!! Please hire us for your next event
