I have many many long stories to write about Penny & Rob and the fabulous day that put together…….makes it difficult to know where to start. I only meet Rob once before the wedding but it became very clear the enormous love and affection he had for Penny, he just couldn’t stop looking at her. And when we discussed details (while staring at Penny) it was always, ah Kell, just do your thing, we trust you!!!

So began the tears…..and the laughs as well. I realised this would be the on-going pattern from the moment I walked into Rob’s hotel room. So much hype and activity between the groomsmen, Heather and I could only laugh at them as they walked around in showercaps!! From Penny’s parents house and her 6 bridesmaids the crying began and to see the emotion and happiness from her ill father, just about floored everyone. The church was incredible, most of the Farrer Primary School lined the walkway to the alter to cheer on a much loved teacher, beautiful Penny (oh course she cried).

Skip to the reception, partytime! Rob is kinda in the television business as you may know, so his side of the speeches became a real laughing feast for everyone – sometimes at the expense of one or two guests!! Penny had many people speak about her and I soon realised she is probably the most loved person in Canberra (enter more crying). A shout out must go to the 2 MC’s of the evening (aka – king and queen Bug & Craig). These 2 crazy cats really set the tone from the moment they stepped up to the mic.

I just loved being so involved in this wedding. It was a real people wedding, with so much of every special component a wedding photographer could wish for. Penny and Rob – you are both amazingly awesome!!
