Wedding time in Greece….off I go

It really is hard to imagine what is about to happen in the next 24 hours. I can’t believe it. It doesn’t feel like it’s happening to me. It’s exciting, scary and far too overwhelming to put into words. But I do know that I’m most grateful and feel extremely privileged to be even given the opportunity in the first place…..

Tomorrow I embark on the most crazy adventure to date. I leave Canberra at 6am for Sydney International Airport. I fly a brief 9 1/2 hours to Hong Kong, hang out for 4 hours and then fly a crazy 13 hours onto Zurich in Switzerland, hang out a little bit more then fly to my final destination, Athens in Greece. I will hook up with my trusty side-kick Pete (his flight is much less traumatic) after an over-night stay in Athens we then catch another flight to Syros in the Greek Islands. This is where I will be photographing the wedding of Joe & Verity. I met these two lovely people in London last year when photographing Alice & Ed’s wedding. I cannot be more excited to see everyone again and capture some amazing days with these awesome people. Here is a snapshot of the beautiful Syros:

After Joe & Verity’s wedding we will traveling around Mykonos and Paros for a couple of relaxing weeks before heading over to Santorini for wedding number two. This wedding is for the crazy fun, Rachel & Arthur. I’ve only really got to know these guys over the past year after they booked me here in Canberra. They are hilariously fun, spontaneous and so incredibly kind. Pete and I will enjoy 5 days with them and photographing just about everything you can imagine from pre-wedding dinners, after parties and lots of chaos on black sandy beaches. Below is a shot of the church where they will be married:

Then I will be heading across to New York for some different kind of adventures. For this, there is no real plan and that’s the exciting bit – just a couple of shoots and the rest will work itself out. The lovely Heather & Nat will be on board keeping things under control and answering e-mails etc so please be nice to them and say hello!

FAREWELL FRIENDS and thanks to lots of people for getting me out the door and (almost) on the plane :)
